St. Louis Parish Cemetery Committee: As a result of much research done and discussions had by this committee, new policies to address the needs of our cemeteries have been recently adopted. Effective immediately, only items that can be securely attached to the headstones are acceptable at any time. We do realize that these items may hold sentimental value to families and friends, however over the years have made regular maintenance of the cemeteries very difficult. We ask the placement of any items (flowers, lights, ornaments) in front of headstones be picked up or they will be disposed of with no recourse. Over the course of the summer, many other improvements to our cemeteries will be completed. We thank you for your cooperation with this matter. Clarence Landry, Chair
